About Hasekura: 360 views of Tohoku

Inspired by the Ukiyo-e series depicting multiple views of certain areas & ways, and by the illustrations of “The Little Prince” by Saint-Exupéry.

Named after Hasekura Tsunenaga, the first Japanese to visit Cuba, Spain & France in 1613, having left port from Ishinomaki, Miyagi in 1611.

Creating a route; not unlike St. James Way (Camino de Santiago) in Spain & France, and Route 66 in the US.
